At the preparation stage, doors, windows, power sockets and skirting boards should be carefully masked off. Cover the floor with film, cardboard or dust sheets and mask the edges of the neighbouring walls with paper approximately 30 cm wide. To ensure a clean edge, the masking tape should be firmly pressed into place.
Stir the paint well and then secure the base unit with the height-adjustable paint bucket fastening to the container and dip the suction tube into the paint. The W 990 FLEXiO spraying system is especially suitable for large wall and ceiling areas since it takes the paint directly out of the original container.
Do a spray test on a piece of cardboard to set the quantity of air and paint to your personal working speed. This means you can set it up to have minimum overspray. You can also familiarise yourself with the sprayer using the test poster.
Spray slightly overlapping stripes at an consistent distance of 15-20 centimeters while holding the gun parallel to the wall will produce an even finish.
Always work away from the light. Start with the ceiling. Then move on to the window ledges. Then do the edges and finally the main surface.
Corners and edges can easily be sprayed as you work: if you are only painting one wall, a piece of cardboard in the corner can produce a neat edge. This gets rid of the need for tedious cutting-in with a paint brush or masking.
After spraying, clean the spraying system: flush the tube and pump unit using the self-cleaning function by allowing warm water to circulate through them; then clean the paint-carrying parts of the spray gun, such as the nozzle, with warm water.
With HVLP paint sprayers you have a clear time advantage compared to brushes and rollers.
